by opening the black rectangular packaging, which is completely made of clear pvc, the viewer is greeted with three layers of images. the first layer displays a collection of abstract black graphics, mimicking the energy and all-consuming feeling of the show. the second layer consists of photos from the show, documenting the sense of science-fictional wonder, which the viewer will need a stronger light source to clearly view.

"to me personally, my job is to produce live recordings. i serve you, the artist, by melding all the elements of the live shows into something that brings great listening pleasure. after all, this is your art and not mine. its creativity stems from you. with that said, however, i would say the live recording of refine is something that i had a lot of creative input. it's not only something that i'd say i co-own but also a presentation of the music style i have come to enjoy producing over the past few years."
